heureCLÉA was presented to international delegates at the 3rd international conference of the ENN (European Narratology Network) which is hosted at the Cité Universitaire in Paris, France from 28 to 30th March 2013. In his keynote lecture titled “Towards a Computational Narratology” Jan Christoph Meister introduced the conceptual framework of current approaches in computational narratology, discussing the relation between hermeneutically oriented phenomenology and the more empirical and statistically oriented methods that inform computational data mining and analysis. Against this background heureCLÉA was introduced as an example that demonstrates how the two approaches can be combined and put to use for collaborative narratological research. – The ENN conferences are the leading narratological conferences in Europe, drawing an audience and participants from as far afield as the US, India, China, Israel and North Africa as well as Brazil.
