In the course of  DH2014, the heureCLÉA team gave a tutorial on using CATMA as a collaborative annotation and analysis tool. In addition to CATMA, we also presented the first joint results of the heureCLÉA project: after a short introduction to HeidelTime and the flexibility of its underlying architecture (UIMA), we gave a demo on the integration of our automatic text processing pipeline into CATMA.   We’d like to thank all of the attendees for their active participation and valuable feedback. Dario Rodighiero—Designer and Doctoral Assistant at DHLAB, EPFL—has created the DH2014 conference identity. The identity is built upon a network, and this network is composed entirely of keywords describing DH2014’s accepted papers and posters. Two keywords are connected if they are used in the same paper, and an edge’s weight is given by the number of papers using these two keywords. Furthermore, to increase the depth of layers, edge thickness has been intensified according to the number of authors creating these pairs, emphasizing their voices. HeidelTime @ TempEval 2013 http://heureclea.de/heideltime-tempeval-2013/ Tue, 21 May 2013 12:05:40 +0000 http://heureclea.de/?p=401 heideltime-logo-2The HeidelTime team of the Heidelberg University participated in the TempEval-3 challenge of the SemEval 2013 workshop. For this, we tuned HeidelTime’s English resources and developed new Spanish resources. For both languages, HeidelTime achieved the best results for the temporal tagging task (extraction + normalization) of all participants.
In the context of TempEval-3, we released a new version of HeidelTime (HeidelTime 1.3), which can now process texts of seven languages: English, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, and Vietnamese.
