IMAG0144-MOTION

Here’s an extract from the paper delivered by Evelyn Gius and Janina Jacke at the DHd 2014 on 28/3/2014:

Within the framework of the conference the participants got the chance to present their projects to scholars and sponsors. heureCLÉA achieved great response – not least due to the already well developed and publicly available annotation tools heureCLÉA builds upon. The conference also offered the chance to take first steps towards integrating heureCLÉA to the eHumanities infrastructure DARIAH-DE.

heureCLÉA @ ENN 2013-Conference http://heureclea.de/heureclea-enn-2013-conference/ Sat, 30 Mar 2013 06:13:02 +0000 http://heureclea.de/?p=275 heureCLÉA was presented to international delegates at the 3rd international conference of the ENN (European Narratology Network) which is hosted at the Cité Universitaire in Paris, France from 28 to 30th March 2013. In his keynote lecture titled “Towards a Computational Narratology” Jan Christoph Meister introduced the conceptual framework of current approaches in computational narratology, discussing the relation between hermeneutically oriented phenomenology and the more empirical and statistically oriented methods that inform computational data mining and analysis. Against this background heureCLÉA was introduced as an example that demonstrates how the two approaches can be combined and put to use for collaborative narratological research. – enn_logoThe ENN conferences are the leading narratological conferences in Europe, drawing an audience and participants from as far afield as the US, India, China, Israel and North Africa as well as Brazil.
